ANC eThekwini Regional Conference 2022

DURBAN - 10 April 2022 - Supporters of former eThekwini mayor Sandile Gumede celebrate the news at the ruling African National Congress' regional conference that their candidate has won the party vote to be chairperson of the eThekwini region. Gumede, who faces fraud and corruption charges, was pitted against seasoned technocrat, Thabani Nyawose to head the region. In the past the winner has gone on to be appointed mayor of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, which includes the city of Durban. Picture: Giordano Stolley
