  • JACKSON, Wyoming - 21 June 2018 - Tourists look at one of the four arches made of the antlers of Elk in the town of Jackson in Wyomig. The Elk Antler Arches are is made up of around 2,000 antlers. No elk were harmed in the making of the arches. Elk naturally shed their antlers each year and they are collected from the ground. The antlers are then weaved around a steel frame one at a time. There are four elk antler arches guarding the corners of Jackson’s George Washington Memorial Park, more commonly called the Town Square.   • KIMBERLEY - 22 June 2014 - Kimberley's oldest house was prefabricated in England in 1877, shipped to South Africa and then carted by ox-wagon from the coast to Kimberley. It was erected at 14 Pniel Road and the first registered owner was a Mr AJ Petersen. The house was moved to this site in Kimberley's historic old town in 1952. The McClellan-Kerr System allows for navigation for much of the Arkansas River, which at 1,450 miles is one of the largest tributaries of the Mississippi River. The bridge above the dam was opened in 2006 and is the longest pedestrian/bicycle bridge in North America that has never been used by cars or trucks and spans the river between Little Rock and North Little Rock.   • DURBAN - 18 May 2016 - Rubbish abounds on a beach near the Beachwood Golf Course in Durban. The beach was one of four that was closed to the public by the eThekwini Metro Municipality after medical waste was found in amongst the rubbish that had come ashore following storms that occurred two weeks earlier.   Medical waste that was found on  Blue Lagoon Beach next to the mouth of the Umgeni River a few kilometres south of this beach. The medical waste that sprked the closures consited primarily of tablets and  sealed standard government issue condoms. The city's main tourist beaches are a mere five kilometres from this point. The bridge has been a part of both cities' skylines for over 100 years since 1884. It was transformed into a pedestrian bridge and opened to the public in 2008. The bridge is believed to be the only "lift span" bridge that has been converted to a pedestrian/bicycle bridge in the United States. The "lift span" is locked into place in a raised position to allow for uninterrupted barge traffic on the river. Visitors to the bridge may transverse the entire length of the structure by riding elevators up to and down from the 360 foot (length) lift span.
